The Dog Inn has a wide range of regular activities and events for you to enjoy.
Obviously, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, most of these events are not taking place. We will re-start activities and events as soon as restrictions allow.
Our Members’s Surgery has now re-started, and will take place on the second Tuesday of every month, at the earlier time of 6.30 – 7pm. This is a chance for shareholders to speak to a member of the Board, with their suggestions and comments.
Our weekly pub quiz, held every Thursday, is very popular, with prizes offered for the top 3 teams and just £1 per person entry fee. The quiz also incorporates 3 rounds of Play Your Cards Right, with the highest jackpot so far being £500.
Our Open Mic afternoons are extremely popular with old and young alike. There’s no need to register, its free admission and there is a vast range of talents to enjoy.
Our weekly crafters get together every Tuesday afternoon (1 – 4pm) for Craft and Chat to work on and discuss their latest projects.
The Youth Drama Group meets every Monday (term time only) from 4 – 5pm, to play drama games, and rehearse for performances. Open to children in Year 5 and upwards. This group is run by the children, for the children, with minimal adult involvement!
Our Bridge Club meets every Wednesday night at 8pm. All are welcome, and beginners will be given help and guidance if required.
We are also proud to be able to offer great live artists who appear throughout the year. Look out for Blowjangles, The Ranting Lads, The Monkeymen, Stuart Hammond, Knotted, Mark Griffiths, and Coverlines.
We also hold traditional seasonal events, come and join us for the May Day traditional festivities, Wimbledon Finals, The Euros, Father’s Day, Harvest celebrations, and of course traditional Christmas Carols around the tree. A whole load of fun and varied events for you to enjoy throughout the year.
